I say get another attorney. My feeling is that the attorney should do everything possible for you, including trying to get the charge reduced. There's not much else you can do. You certainly can't do it yourself.
Plea bargaining happens all the time in the court system, but an attorney is required to do it properly.
That is up to the da an you are going to jail if a weapon was used for 2 to 10 they got you
