If you are drunk, and don't want to drive, can you get arrested for walking home while drunk?

say you are out for a night of partying/drinking, and you do not have a designated driver, and you could safely walk home while you are drunk, can you get arrested for walking while drunk??
Answers:
I doubt it. Maybe for "disorderly conduct," but if you're minding your own business I think you'll be OK. But that's just a guess.
Yep. It's called public intoxication.
Yes, its called public intoxication. Most towns have this soley as a revenue source.
Yes.
That's why you should have a friend drive you, or call a taxi.
Yes. It is called Drunk in Public.
They would have to find you doing somethin suspicious that attracts their attention, so if you are good, they may just ignore you.
Yes, you can be charged with public intoxication or even drunken and disorderly conduct. Many countries in Europe can charge you with an equivilant of a DUI if you ride a bike drunk.
Don't draw any attention to yourself and don't drink to the point where you can't walk! If you get caught try to throw up so your alcohol level drops or tell the police you need to go to the hospital. This delays getting a breathalizer test and can help sober you up.
You can only drink in your own house without breaking a law. Think about it..
You can be arrested for public intoxication, but you have to be acting drunk and stumbling, and hopefully you won't be walking very far.
I think you basically get the idea.
Yea like if you are falling down or walking into traffic and being a public nuisance, but in general no if you are behaving yourself, and not acting up or making a fool of yourself.
