If you are suspended from work on full pay and then become sick, do you transfer to sick pay, i.e. reducing?

I have been suspended from work for nearly a year without investigation. The trauma of this made me ill but now I receive no pay because I have been treated as being on sick leave and my sick pay allowance is exhausted.
Answers:
that is awful, you should still be being payed the original amount, they have made you ill. it sounds like they are reluctant to fire you. constructive dismissal IMO. you do not have to e fit for work because they have not asked you to go back at any time, they are playing the system to ssave money, take them to a tribunal and beat there backsides. take some advice through c.a.b
If you were suspended from work, they can't use up your sick pay to pay yu, they either have to suspend you without pay, or suspend you with pay, and it can't come out of your sick leave pay.
You should have stayed on administrative leave, thereby collecting your pay and retaining your sick leave. Now that you have exhausted your sick leave, you may be ineligible to go back on administrative leave.
Without more details regarding your situation, it is difficult to give you a better answer.
Good luck.
why in the hell did you tell them you were sick ?...suspended w/pay means don't tell them dick...call your union rep at once
Are you a union member? If so, contact your rep at once. Of course, if you were they should have been working for you sooner.
If not, then contact your local Citizen's Advice Bureau or a Law Centre (most will deal with employment issues). they should be able to give you advice and even help on what to do next. the important thing is to make sure you take a copy of your contract, and any other correspondence about your employment and suspension plus copies of the company's disciplinary policy, sickness policy etc.
If you have been suspended then this should not be counted as sick leave. You may be able to claim Incapacity benefit and council tax benefit if you have no other income now. Is it a private or public sector company that you work for?
Search the net for ACAS and on there is a helpline number...Give them a call they are very helpful. They will know exactly what you can do legally. If you have been employed with the company for over 2 years they may be able to become more involved also..
I AGREE WITH AC1BD ARE YOU IN A SELF DESTRUCT MODE?
