If you are victim of Internet fraud, How do you prevent it & what actions could be taken against them?

I have seen many shady companies running online sites %26 promise users to pay, but instead take money %26 run. For example: Agloco (http://www.agloco.com), which suppose to pay members for using their viewbar, but never paid any member, instead when asked about who runs the company or who are part of management, you never get answer? No information posted about it's physical location or country it operates from. The phone # listed (650) 206-2560 at http://www.agloco.com/web/guest/aboutus... -%26gt; Press, is in fact a VOIP phone, so could be anywhere in the world. This company is still scamming people as of now %26 no one can stop them. So far they have got over 10 million members, all promised to get paid. They are building wealth %26 in few months will disappear, cheating millions of it's members under false hope. You can see the scale of their fraud by searching their site on web (http://www.google.com/search?q=agloco)...
Does this all mean they can get away by cheating not just few, but millions
Answers:
Yes, you can take action %26 I recommend all agloco members to report about them at...
http://www.fraudbureau.com/database/file...
I also highly recommend to report them to
http://www.econsumer.gov/english/...
https://complaint.ic3.gov/default.aspx...
(You can still report no matter which country you live in)
It must be done while "the company" is still running, so these guys could be cought. Most of the time money recovered is distributed among it's victims (members). Fraud reporting sites take action based on how many fraud compains are filled with them. So it is very important that all it's members report before they disappear with your money.
Lastly some companies do pay for searching or visiting %26 they have physical address posted on their site. Make sure to check that next time you deal.
You can see genuine company like blingo that pays for surfing every hour (see source link below)
I hope this helps.
You can also forward any fraud companies to TV News stations. Most stations have consumer watchdog teams that collect reports from consumers and publicize company fraud alerts on TV and their websites.
Search Google for "on your side tv news stations". You can also try the following free site that forwards your story to tv news stations for free:
http://www.complaint.tv
Good luck!
I have also seen the site, it's a scam run from Bay Area, California, US. Based on the IP address I saw in the email. They don't list who operates or running agloco... go figure it out why ;-)
Upon multiple requests by it's member they never listed their company address or anything similar so once they make money %26 run, they are untraceable... even their website domain's whois information is blocked instead listed Network Solutions take a look here (http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/re...
On fales hope of paying members for using their viewbar, they signup over 15 million+ members.
Considering this, it will be the largest ever Internet Fraud commited by any single company %26 sad thing is they are still running %26 collection money on behalf of members.
I don't know if anyone can do anything to stop them before it's too late, Maybe someone can report them to Media as detroitmotorcity said. Also let their advertiser know what they are upto. Currently they make money from Google Ads in their viewbar.
Good Luck!
This is a bunch ballony. First of all, Agloco is a 100% FREE service. Anyone who has a little bit of business knowledge, understands that the initial payouts will be small and variable due to several unknown factors. This company has the potential to become as big as Google. Imagine having 1,000 Google shares handed to you 6-7 years ago. How much would those shares be worth today? HELLO..?
You said that the phone # might be fake? Are you suggesting that Brian Greenwald and the other leaders are fake too?
