Illegal Immigration; Is it fair to assume that our laws regarding illegal aliens are by and large not being?

followed or enforced at all levels throughout our country? Are there pockets of the nation where the laws are being enforced?
Answers:
No, you do not have to assume. It is a solid fact. Over the years, the federal government has paid only lip service to illegal immigration. President Eisenhower, in the 1950's was the last to seriously curb illegal immigration.
I have a couple of buddies who work as "ICE" and their are told NOT to arrest illegals.. amazing huh..
yippy for AUSTIN TEXAS WAY TO PROTECT!
It's not only fair to assume that, it is a fact that some cities and counties are selectively enforcing laws concerning immigration regulations.
The parts where the laws are being inforced are the parts the ilegals don't want to be in the first place.
It's most certainly obvious that the laws are being disregarded.
Whenever an enforcement is attempted. the moronic bleeding heart liberals stop it.
Liberals want illegal immigration... if they support it.. and disallow the requirement of proof of citizenship to vote (voting is a PRIVILIDGE of law abiding citizens) then they figure all the illegals will vote for them.
As the real citizens learn how stupid liberals are... the liberals have to use every trick they can to steal a vote.
America needs to get its head out of the sand far as illegals go.
They get welfare, drive illegal cars, commit crimes, and get away with it all.
They need to install an eletric fence at the border so they all get zapped.
you might say that. If cops find illegals they dont do nothing, not necessarily because they dont want to but the feds wont approve it. If they re gonna let em stay here the least they could do is tax them. They use this countrys infrastructure just like we taxpayers......
They are being blatantly violated throughout the country, but the problem is greater, obviously in the southwest.
Arizona seems to be doing a the best job of dealing with illegal immigration.
I live in California where it's politically incorrect because it might hurt someone's feelings.
All those who fail to enforce our Laws should be arrested, along with those Political Leaders who create safe havens for Illegal Aliens.
This also goes for All Democrat and Republican Politicians, President Bush, and others who have not done their duties as required by the Immigration Laws.
its being terribly enforced, there are many ways to get under-the-counter jobs (where you don't pay taxes.. BTW this is illegal) My friend worked for one of these people and got paid under the counter for a while. Hes not an illegal immigrant and quit his job because the guy was screwing him on hours. The reason this is all relevant is because you (are supposed to) need to be a citizen or a legal alien to get a job in the U.S.A. It doesn't matter though when under the counter jobs can be gotten easily, I know of 2 places hiring right now that pay under the counter, and I live in Michigan which isn't exactly on the border to Mexico. I imagine its much worse in southern states where illegal immigrants happily work for under minimum wage, and employers happily pay jack $h!t wages for the same amount of work.
My proposal on taxxing illegals is to remove income tax and property tax and base the entire tax-economy on sales tax. that way anytime you buy anything in the U.S. regardless of your status here, you pay tax. However for the legal citizens this would mean you no longer have to deal with income tax property tax (I would like to keep it where citizen's taxxes remain relatively the same)
